Founded in 2016 as American Responder Designs, we are now American Responder®, a brand owned and operated by Emergency Responders and Veterans. Our objective is to offer outstanding products and designs for First Responders, while supporting evolution and education.
JD Aument - Owner
I founded American Responder in 2016 while serving as a firefighter in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. My journey in emergency services began in 2005 as a volunteer firefighter in Pennsylvania. Following that, I dedicated 12 years to the Army as a firefighter, receiving training as an Urban Search and Rescue Technician, Hazmat Technician, and more.
In 2023, following challenges in mental health, I prioritized raising my son and expanding American Responder to enhance support for First Responders. I am dedicated to advancing Emergency Services and realizing my innovations.
